Julie Matthews Willis- Artistic Director/Choreographer

Julie Matthews Willis danced professionally in The Outdoor Musical TEXAS at Palo Duro Canyon for three seasons.  She has danced at various local venues such as the Amarillo Opera, the Alamo City Dance Company’s NUTCRACKER, Yuletide at the Yucca, and the independent film LANDED IN TEXAS.  She also loved playing Puck in Solas' A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Julie received a BFA in Dance from West Texas A&M University in 2017.  While there, she performed two solo pieces (tap and jazz) and was featured in a modern dance that won awards at the American College Dance Association convention.  Her choreography has been showcased in WTAMU’s 2017 Falling Into Dance concert, in TEXAS Originals and HAUNTED RIVER, and of course in Solas’ own VISIONS OF OCTOBER and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.

Grace Robinson

Grace Robinson has been a member of Solas since 2021, though she danced as a junior member when the company was formed in 2019. Grace has trained at Dance Plus since she was four years old and now teaches at the studio.  She feels her best styles are Contemporary and Hip Hop.  Since she loves the VISIONS OF OCTOBER dances, Grace was especially excited when she was able to choreograph “Sirens” for the show in 2023. When not dancing, Grace creates award-winning art and works with ASL.
